Scope
The Challenge
Costco's warehouse format requires camera coverage at extreme heights (30–40 ft ceilings), across 140,000 sq ft floor areas, at all exterior perimeters, member parking lots, loading docks, and fuel stations — with a consistent camera standard replicable across all East Coast locations. Additionally, select emergency exits required Delayed Egress systems compliant with fire safety codes while deterring unauthorized access.
The Solution
IDS CCTV deployed Hikvision high-ceiling fisheye dome cameras for full warehouse floor coverage — one fisheye camera covers what would require 4–6 standard cameras at these heights. Hikvision PTZ cameras were installed on exterior mounts for perimeter and parking coverage. LPR cameras at all loading dock entry/exit points capture plate data on every delivery vehicle. Delayed Egress hardware was integrated with the building management system at all designated emergency exits.
