The Lutron Accessory Switch expands compatible Lutron dimmers into 3-way and multi-location applications, giving users convenient control from more locations throughout the space. It is designed for use with select compatible Lutron dimmers and is not for standalone use. Within a multi-location setup, the Lutron Accessory Switch provides convenient on/off control, while the paired primary dimmer manages dimming and other advanced lighting features. Add up to nine (9) accessory switches to control lights from up to ten (10) locations, making it a practical solution for hallways, stairways, larger rooms, and other spaces where control from multiple points is helpful. A single tap turns lights on to the preset level, and a second tap brings lights to full brightness. Smooth fade on and fade off transitions help provide a more comfortable lighting experience, while pressing and holding for one second activates a 30-second delayed fade-to-off. The Lutron Accessory Switch requires no neutral wire and is designed to coordinate with Lutron Claro wall plates (sold separately) for a clean, consistent finished look. Backed by a 10-year limited warranty with registration (5 years without registration) and 24/7 customer support, it is a reliable way to extend compatible Lutron lighting controls to more locations.
